Each stained glass piece is truly a labor of love. From the initial design to selecting the right glass, hand-cutting each piece, grinding edges, foiling, soldering, adding embellishments, and finishing - every step takes time, focus, and care. Even smaller pieces can take several hours to complete, while larger or more detailed works (like custom portraits or complex panels) may take weeks.
I work full-time outside the studio, so each evening and weekend is a chance to create. This means my turnaround time may be a bit longer, but I believe that’s a good thing - rushing through the process would compromise the quality, and it’s important to me that each piece gets the attention it deserves.
That said, I totally understand how exciting it is to commission a special piece of art for a friend or loved one - especially for a birthday, anniversary, or other meaningful occasion. If you have a specific deadline in mind, feel free to reach out! I’m happy to talk through your timeline and see if I can make it work.

Right now, the best way to place an order is to send me a message or email me directly . I’m based in the Twin Cities, often travel to the Duluth area, and my hometown is Moose Lake - so I love working with clients in all these Minnesota locations and can usually arrange in-person delivery or pickup.
If you’re outside those areas, no worries - I also ship via USPS within the U.S., carefully packaging each piece to ensure it arrives safely.
I’m planning to open an Etsy shop soon, which will make browsing and purchasing even easier. Until then, feel free to message me with what you’re interested in, and I’ll guide you through the process!

In general, I prefer to work on smaller suncatchers to mid-sized panels - this allows me to take on a variety of projects within the limited time I have outside of my full-time job, rather than spending months on a single large piece. That said, I’m always open to hearing new ideas! If something doesn’t feel like the right fit for my style, scale, or schedule, I’ll be honest - and I’m happy to offer suggestions or point you in the direction of other artists who might be a better match.

At this time, I do not offer repair services for existing stained glass, especially pieces that are leaded or installed in exterior-facing doors and windows. My work is created using the Tiffany (copper foil) method, which is best suited for hanging panels or interior pieces, rather than structural or weather-exposed glass.

Stained glass is surprisingly low maintenance, but a little care goes a long way in keeping it looking beautiful for years to come.
To clean your piece, simply use a soft, dry cloth or one slightly dampened with water. Avoid using ammonia-based or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the finish on the solder lines or glass surface. If your piece has beads, wire accents, or other embellishments, be extra gentle around those areas.
All of my work is finished with a protective wax polish on the solder, which helps prevent oxidation and gives it a soft sheen. Over time, if you notice the metal looking dull, you can gently buff it with a clean, soft cloth.
Hang your stained glass securely using the provided chain or loops, and always display it in a safe spot away from strong wind or heavy doors that might slam. Sunlight is wonderful for stained glass - but keep in mind that some glass colors may shift slightly over many years with constant UV exposure (especially reds and purples).

It’s a great question - and one I totally understand! Stained glass can seem expensive at first glance, but there’s a lot that goes into each piece beyond what meets the eye.
Every item is completely handmade, from the initial design and pattern-making to cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, framing, and finishing. Many pieces also include wirework, beading, or other intricate details that take extra time and precision. Even small pieces often take several hours to complete.
The materials themselves are also a big factor. Quality art glass, solder, copper foil, and specialty supplies (like patina and polish) have all gone up in price - just like so many other things lately. Tools and equipment also wear out over time and need to be replaced.
Beyond the materials and time, you're also supporting an artist who puts care, creativity, and craftsmanship into every piece. When you purchase handmade stained glass, you're investing in something unique, made with intention - not mass-produced or rushed.
I always do my best to keep my pricing fair while honoring the work that goes into each design. If you're ever curious about what's involved in a specific piece, I'm always happy to talk more about the process!
