Hello, I’m Nissa - a stained glass artist based in Minnesota and the heart behind Bird Room Glassworks. My journey as a maker started in the simplest way: as a little girl proudly declaring that I wanted to be a sticker seller. Creativity has always been at the core of who I am, evolving through many forms over the years. Today, it lives in the colorful, light-filled world of stained glass. Every piece I make is handcrafted with patience and care - from the first sketch to the final polish.

One of the most meaningful parts of my work is creating personalized pet portraits in stained glass. I’ve never known life without animals, and I can’t imagine it any other way. These pieces give me the chance to honor the spirit of a beloved companion through color, shape, and light. Whether it's a tribute to a pet who’s passed or a joyful celebration of one still by your side, it’s a privilege to help preserve those relationships in such a lasting, tangible way. I also love to see all those cute pics!

In addition to pet portraits, I offer a mix of signature designs and one-of-a-kind custom pieces. I love experimenting with different ideas and collaborating with clients to create something truly personal.

Working with stained glass gives me the space to slow down and be present, and I hope to share that feeling through my art. More about me
